Megz

Piercer

She/Her

I have been professionally piercing since 2015, but my interest in body piercing can be traced back to the 5th grade when I read the book “Island of the Blue Dolphins” in which one of the characters was described as having “a bone thrust through her septum.” I remember asking my teacher what this meant, and she explained this girl had a piercing in the center of her nose, I was blown away. Since then, I have been drawn to piercings, and people who choose to adorn their body with jewelry.

I began my piercing career in Colorado Springs, and have worked in a variety of different piercing studios, eventually finding my home with the Ivy Noir crew in late 2020.

Over the course of my piercing career, my passion for piercing has only continued to grow, it is a great joy to be able to provide a safe, comfortable, and inviting piercing experience that feels inclusive, and considerate.

Though I love all piercings, I have a special place in my heart for lip piercings, and for performing children’s ear lobe piercings. I strive to hold space for clients, and to leave them feeling confident, cared for, empowered, and fabulous! Outside of the studio I enjoy getting outdoors with family, friends, and our beloved dog Cody, along with live music, horror movies, and crafting for hours on end, powered only by gummie bears and black metal.

Favorite Nicholas Cage Movie: Raising Arizona

Jazz

Piercer

When I received my first piercing at 18-later than most, I know-I knew that was what I was going to do with my life. It was like an epiphany. In 2008 l began my apprenticeship and piercing has been a passion ever since.
While most of my work is purely for aesthetics, I recognize and honor the transformative energies inherent within piercing. The most rewarding experience I can have with a client is helping them to mark a milestone or change in their life.

I was born and raised in Colorado and don't imagine I'll ever leave. I enjoy camping, rock hunting, embroidery, reading (mostly high/epic fantasy and horror), and hockey.

Jonathan

Gallery Assistant

Jonathan has been working in Piercing Studios, on and off, since 2013. Born in Southern California, raised in South Florida and just came up on 10 years of living in Colorado. During the formative years in South Florida, body modification became extremely popular and at the age of 15 he began his journey by stretching his ears.

Proper, safe piercing by a knowledgeable individual with high quality jewelry is paramount in his belief as to what all clients deserve. When assisting clients, he is very diligent in getting you exactly what you want or finding the piece of jewelry you imagined. His favorite piercings include high nostrils, conches and philtrums. His favorite jewelry brands are BVLA, Modern Mood and Pupil Hall. As far as describing his personal jewelry style, he believes you either go big or go home.

Indulging in Fiction and Fantasy are how he spends a majority of his free time. Whether it be reading a book, manga, anime, movies or video games he's always on an epic adventure. In the real world, he loves to spend time with his two German Shepherds, travel and eat delicious food.

Gallery Assistant

Shop Driver

(photo pending)
I have been working in and around the piercing industry for 16 years and could not imagine my life without it. I have found my home as a spicy gallery/shop assistant at Ivy Noir and I enjoy every aspect of my job, especially the interactions I have with our clients and having a role that allows me to showcase the stunning jewelry we carry- my personal favorites being anything yellow gold & dramatic. Outside of work I still find myself surrounded by sharp objects thanks to my love of suspension and heavy body modification. I also enjoy being a homebody where I have three children, a husband, but most importantly a one-eyed Pomeranian named Bizkit.
